Found: Rare Superman Comic Stolen from Nicolas Cage

ABC News(LOS ANGELES) -- Police have found a rare comic book featuring the debut of Superman that was stolen from Nicolas Cage more than a decade ago, according to the Ventura County Star.

Police in Los Angeles who discovered Action Comics No. 1 last week in a storage locker believe it's the same mint copy that was swiped from the Oscar winner back in 2000.  While the comic has been authenticated, it remains to be seen if Cage will get it back because he received money from insurance after the book was taken.

The issue in question is arguably the most valuable comic in existence; a mint copy sold for $1.5 million last year.  Action Comics #1 sold for 10 cents when it debuted in 1938.

It's unclear how the comic wound up in the storage locker.
