(NEW YORK) -- WWE star Hulk Hogan may not be happy about the recent release of an old sex tape, but the 59-year-old told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on the Today show Tuesday that he takes full responsibility for his actions.
The tape was reportedly secretly recorded around the time his marriage to Linda Hogan was coming to an end.
"First off, I had no idea there was a camera in the room. It was at a very, very low point," Hogan said.
He added, "I'm not making excuses. I'm accountable. I was the guy. I was there. I made the choice."
Hogan further explained, "It was at a really low point in my life when I was in a previous marriage when things were bottomed out completely. I was with some friends and I made a wrong choice. And now, all of a sudden, it surfaces over six years later, and it's just appalling. It's totally flipped my new life…upside down."
The tape was leaked online last week and shows Hogan having sex with a woman he has identified in interviews as Heather Clem.
Hogan and his wife Linda divorced in 2009 after 24 years of marriage. He got remarried in December 2010 to Jennifer McDaniel.
