(LOS ANGELES) -- They must be pretty serious! Katy Perry and John Mayer are planning to spend Christmas together, the “Roar” singer told Ellen DeGeneres.
“We have a lot of fun. We have music as an understanding and love between each other,” she said of her beau, whom she described as “very thoughtful” and “very creative.”
“We connect, and it’s like he understands what I do because he does the same thing. After a long day, if it’s been tough, I don’t have to go into it. He just gets it,” she gushed.
And he also understands her tastes, it seems. When the talk show host asked if the two had already picked out gifts for one another, Mayer nodded.
“The present’s all set,” he said.
Perry, who added that the couple will exchange “stocking stuffers,” said that she doesn’t necessarily expect something expensive from her boyfriend.
“The best Christmas gift is a thoughtful one,” she said. “One that is romantic or one that has been thought about and spent a lot of time over. It’s not just a label or a thing.”
