'Jack and Jill,' 'Immortals,' 'J. Edgar' Open Nationwide Friday

-- Jack and Jill: Adam Sandler stars as Jack, a Los Angeles family man who receives a visit from his wacky twin sister Jill -- also played by Sandler -- on Thanksgiving.  Katie Holmes and Al Pacino also star.  Rated PG.

-- Immortals: From the producers of 300 comes this action flick, about a stonemason in ancient Greece who vows to take down a violent king.  Mickey Rourke, Henry Cavill and Freida Pinto star in the film, which is screening in 3D.  Rated R.

-- J. Edgar: The biopic explores the life of longtime FBI head J. Edgar Hoover, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.  Armie Hammer, Naomi Watts and Judi Dench also star in the Clint Eastwood-directed film.  Rated R.  [Click here to read a review]
