Janet Jackson Announces North American Tour Dates

Photo Courtesy - ABC News(NEW YORK) -- Janet Jackson's forthcoming Number Ones -- Up Close and Personal tour will kick off in February in the Philippines, but she'll bring the tour to America starting March 7 and 8 with two shows in Chicago.

As of now, she has dates scheduled through April 23, with the tour wrapping up with a two-night Las Vegas stand at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.  The singer will only be performing songs from her 2009 CD, Number Ones.

Jackson said in a statement on her website, "These concerts are not about special effects.  This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years.  I'll be singing and dancing from my heart.  The music will be all the songs that you've made number ones for me...let's go!"

3/31 -- St. Louis, MO, Fox Theatre
4/2 -- Grand Prairie, TX, Verizon Theatre
4/6 -- Denver, CO, Wells Fargo Theatre
4/8 -- Phoenix, AZ, Comerica Theatre
