Jennifer Lawrence Reveals Abdominal Issues on "Late Show"

Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Jennifer Lawrence isn’t letting abdominal issues stop her from promoting her new movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  During an appearance Wednesday on the Late Show with David Letterman, Lawrence revealed that she has been dealing with abdominal discomfort for the past three weeks.

Lawrence was originally scheduled to appear on Letterman's Tuesday night show, but the abdominal issues forced her to cancel and seek medical advice.

When Letterman asked Lawrence about her symptoms, the Oscar-winning actress replied, “I just had this really bad pain for like three weeks and you can...only s**t your pants so many times a day before you're like, have to go to the emergency room...”

When Letterman asked Lawrence if the doctors had reached any conclusion after performing an endoscopy, she replied, “They said the problem is either in my lower intestine or my mind.”

Lawrence recalled having abdominal issues while filming after co-star Woody Harrelson gave her what she described as a “healthy drink.”  The actress said she asked her co-star, "Woody was there something in there that could make me, uh, crap my pants?  And he was like, 'Yeahhh.  Yeah, there's lots of stuff.'”

The actress told Letterman she's currently filming the third and fourth installments of The Hunger Games series.  When Letterman asked how many more she wanted to do, Lawrence joked that they might make as many as the CD series Now! That's What I Call Music

“I think we're going to make them like the Nows! Get all the way up to like 47, 48,” she said.

Lawrence added that when they get up that high, one of the films could be called We’re Even Hungrier with the last one being, We're Finally Full.

After the show, Lawrence attended the New York premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  It opens nationwide this Friday.
