Jessica Simpson’s Pregnancy Glow Is Really Sweat

Alo Ceballos/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Jessica Simpson has a thing about bodily functions: she loves talking about them.

And pregnancy has given the pop singer yet another reason to overshare. Simpson recently revealed to People magazine that pregnancy makes her sweat.

“People always say that pregnant women have a glow,” Simpson, 31, told People. “And I say it’s because you’re sweating to death."

“I think they just tell pregnant women they’re glowing to make them feel good about themselves, because everything makes them a little bit emotional.”

Simpson is clearly blooming as she displayed her bump in a figure-hugging red dress for the Footwear News Achievement Awards Tuesday.

Since announcing her pregnancy on Halloween with a photo of herself dressed as a mummy and the tweet, “It’s true -- I’m going to be a mummy,” Simpson has been eagerly sharing details of her pregnancy via Twitter.

On Nov. 4, she retweeted a post about how the average person “expels flatulence 15 times each day,” adding, “The average pregnant woman farts 15 times that!”

A few days later, she posted a picture of herself in a new Cavalli dress and declared, “My belly is officially bigger than my boobs..well kinda…ha.”

And just before Thanksgiving, she tweeted, "Sunday morning cereal craving,” along with a photo of five cereal boxes on the supermarket checkout counter.

We’ve also heard plenty about her hormones.

Explaining why she is putting off her wedding to fiance and father-to-be Eric Johnson, Simpson told Access Hollywood,  “When you’re pregnant, your hormones go crazy. I don’t want to be super stressed out and end up being a bridezilla. So, I’ll wait until after.”

Last year, Simpson revealed that she brushes her teeth “maybe three times a week.”

“My teeth are so white and I don’t like them to feel too slippery but I do use Listerine and I do floss everyday,” she told Ellen DeGeneres. “But I don’t brush them every day....My lips just slide all over the place...I can’t catch up with my mouth. I need a little coating.”

“I know it’s gross but I always have fresh breath,” she laughed. “It’s really weird but I have great breath.”
