Lady Gaga to Perform Live at 'MTV Video Music Aid Japan'

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Lady Gaga will perform live Saturday, June 25 at an event called MTV Video Music Aid Japan, which will take place at a venue just outside Tokyo.

Gaga is the first performer to be announced for the show, which is being staged as a live international TV event.  It'll benefit the Japanese Red Cross, raising money for its relief efforts after the earthquake and tsunami that hit last month.

The show will air live in more than 30 million homes on MTV Japan, Korea, China and Southeast Asia.  A one-hour version of the show will air later on all MTV channels, as part of MTV's World Stage weekly music series.

Additional celebrity performers and attendees will be announced at a later date.
