(LOS ANGELES) -- Lance Bass and fiance Michael Turchin have yet to tie the knot, but the topic of babies has already come up.
The singer got engaged to Turchin, an actor and artist, last month, and Bass said that he doesn't want to wait too long to have kids since he's already in his mid-30s.
"We want to enjoy being a married couple for a couple years, but not wait too long," he said. "I don't want to be too old. We have a little five-year plan. Plus, my friends are all having babies right now, so it would be amazing to watch them all grow up together."
The former 'NSYNC singer also has a very specific plan for his eventual family with Turchin.
"I would love to have a kid of my own, I would love to have [Michael] have a kid, and maybe even eventually adopt a kid who coudn't find a home," he said.
"We're going to give our kids the world," Bass said. "So, they get to choose whatever they want to be. We are going to introduce them to every single thing they could possibly be introduced to and we'll see what they like."
Bass, 34, spoke to ABC as part of the Love is Changing History project, where for LGBT History Month in October, AT&T is donating $1 to the Trevor Project for every share of the website, videos or personal story submissions. The Trevor Project, according to its website, is the "leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24."
Bass and Turchin plan to wed next fall.
"We're wanting all of our guests to come completely over the top, high fashion like you're heading to the MET Ball or the Royal Wedding," Bass told ABC News earlier this week.
