(NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.) -- After leaving a Newport Beach, Calif., rehab facility just minutes after she arrived, thereby possibly and violating her probation, Lindsay Lohan checked into the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., on Thursday night, ABC News has confirmed.
Lohan will presumably complete her court-ordered 90-day treatment program there.
Initially, Lindsay was slated to enter Seafield Center, located in the Hamptons section of Long Island, New York, by Thursday morning. However, TMZ reports she was concerned that the facility would not allow her to smoke, and decided she'd rather begin her three-month rehab stint at Morningside, where she briefly received treatment three years ago.
Still, another source told People, "she showed up [at Morningside Recovery] in the morning and hated it. She thought the facilities are gross. ...She is interested in going back to Betty Ford because she knows everyone there."
Lindsay has done a rehab stint at Betty Ford previously, but it was riddled with drama. The actress settled a lawsuit brought by a then-employee at the center over a scuffle they had while Lindsay was a resident there in late 2010.
In March, Lindsay agreed to a plea deal in connection with a traffic accident in June of last year. The deal includes 90 days of locked-down rehab, 30 days of community service and 18 months of psychological counseling.
