Marcia Brady’s Maureen McCormick Remembers Davy Jones

Kevin Winter/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Former Brady Bunch actress Maureen McCormick has a personal connection to Davy Jones, the member of The Monkees who died Wednesday of a heart attack at the age of 66.

He famously played himself in an episode of her sitcom, agreeing to a request by her character, Marcia Brady, to appear at her prom.

Speaking to, McCormick remembers Jones as a man who “spread love and goodness around the world. He filled our lives with happiness, music, and joy.”

She adds, “He will live on in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace.”
