(NEW YORK) -- With less than a month to go before the April 4 premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Marvel has released four minutes of new footage of the eagerly anticipated sequel.
The new footage teases a S.H.I.E.L.D. raid on a ship that had been taken over by pirates, and the operation not only boasts Chris Evans' Captain America kicking butt -- he airdrops in from a plane without a parachute for openers -- but also shows Evans' Avengers co-star Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, AKA Black Widow, in fine form as both his wingman in the operation and in the dating world.
An earlier snippet revealed Romanoff is apparently concerned with thawing out the formerly frozen super-soldier's less-than-super love life; here she passes along info about potential dates even as their operation is underway. "I'm multitasking," she quips before leaping over a railing to subdue three armed guards single-handedly.
Former UFC Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is also glimpsed for the first time as Batroc -- known as "Batroc The Leaper" in the pages of Marvel Comics. Here, as the baddie in charge of the terrorist operation, he's described as a highly-trained mercenary with a, "rep for creating maximum casualties."
Captain America: The Winter Soldier will center on Evans' Steve Rogers trying to come to grips with both an increasingly disturbing modern world and betrayal within his own agency.
Samuel L. Jackson also returns as Nick Fury, as does Captain America: The First Avenger co-star Sebastian Stan. The trailer also features series newcomers Robert Redford, playing the head of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Anthony Mackie, who plays Marvel hero Falcon.
2011's Captain America: The First Avenger grossed more than $370 million worldwide.
