(LONDON) -- Michael Jackson fans are objecting to a Discovery Channel documentary called Michael Jackson's Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson, which is scheduled to appear on U.K. television in January.
The documentary reportedly features a reproduction of the pop star's corpse, and follows a doctor as he dissects it. As reported by TMZ.com, the MJ Justice Project and the MJ Children group created an online petition to pull the TV special from airing. Thus far, over 2,500 outraged Michael Jackson fans have signed the petition, which is shooting for a total of 50,000.
"Like any other human being on this earth, Michael Jackson is entitled to a minimum of decency and respect," the petition reads. "We ask the directors of the Discovery Channel programming to proceed with the outright cancellation of this indecent documentary, detrimental to both the person and his family and loved ones."
