Motion Picture Nominees for Producers Guild Awards Announced

Creatas/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- The Producers Guild of America on Thursday announced the motion picture nominees for its upcoming awards ceremony.

Ten films in all will contend for the top prize at the 25th Annual Producers Guild Awards. They are, in alphabetical order: 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, Blue Jasmine, Captain Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club, Gravity, Her, Nebraska, Saving Mr. Banks and The Wolf of Wall Street.

These films have received the most attention during the ongoing awards season. All of them are nominated for a Golden Globe.

The PGA contenders in the animated film category are: The Croods, Despicable Me 2, Epic, Frozen and Monsters University.

The Producers Guild on Thursday also announced the nominees in the long-form television category. They include the FX series American Horror Story: Asylum and HBO's Liberace biopic, Behind the Candelabra.

The nominees in the other TV categories were revealed late last year.

The 25th Annual Producers Guild Awards will be presented on Jan. 19 in Beverly Hills, Calif. A full list of nominees is available at ProducersGuild.org.
