New "James Bond" Theme Performed by Adele

Dan MacMedan/WireImage(LONDON) -- After nearly a year of speculation, Adele has finally confirmed that she has, indeed, recorded the theme song for the new James Bond movie, Skyfall.

The singer tweeted a picture of her hand on a piece of paper — the cover for the song’s sheet music. It reads, “From the motion picture Skyfall, Skyfall, A. Adkins/Paul Epworth.”

“A. Adkins” is, of course, Adele, and Paul Epworth is her songwriting collaborator, with whom she wrote “Rolling in the Deep.”

Adele will premiere her recording via her official site ( on Oct. 5. The film Skyfall is scheduled to be released Nov. 9.
