New Season of "Dallas" Premieres Monday, Will Honor Larry Hagman

Peter Larsen/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- The second season of TNT's Dallas update premieres Monday night at 9 p.m. Eastern time.

One of the show's stars, Larry Hagman, passed away last November, after filming five episodes of the new season.  His character, oil tycoon J.R. Ewing, will be given a fitting farewell, according to TNT head of programming Michael Wright.

Wright recently told reporters, "The show is going to honor Larry's passing with an episode that includes J.R.'s funeral and a story line that follows that we believe would've made Larry very happy."

TV Guide reports that J.R. will be murdered. So, potentially, viewers may again be asking, "Who shot J.R.?"
