"Non-Stop" Ends "The LEGO Movie's Run at Top of Box Office

Photo Courtesy: Universal Pictures(NEW YORK) -- Liam Neeson's high-skies thriller Non-Stop unseated The LEGO Movie from the top spot in the box office this weekend after a three-week run at the top.

Non-Stop features Neeson as a Federal air marshal who is on a plane that has been hijacked and he himself is framed as the bad guy. The film, rated PG-13, also stars Julianne Moore and brought in over $30 million this weekend.

Son of God, the Bible-based film telling the story of Jesus' life came in second, dropping The LEGO Movie to third. Son of God stars Diogo Morgado, Roma Downey, Amber Rose Revah, Louise Delamere and Darwin Shaw.

Here are the estimates for the top ten films of the weekend according to

1. Non-Stop: $30.019 million
2. Son of God: $26.5 million
3. The LEGO Movie: $21.015 million
4. The Monuments Men: $5 million
5. 3 Days to Kill: $4.9 million
6. RoboCop (2014): $4.5 million
7. Pompeii: $4.3 million
8. Frozen: $3.611 million
9. About Last Night (2014): $3.4 million
10. Ride Along: $3.065 million
