Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Jason Aldean's Tour Bus

Erika Goldring/Getty Images(KNOX COUNTY, Ind.) -- Country star Jason Aldean's tour bus struck and killed a pedestrian in Knox County, Ind., last night, the Knox County Sheriff's Department confirmed to ABC News.

At approximately 1:28 a.m., the pedestrian, Albert Kennedy of Vincennes, Ind., "walked out into the middle of the roadway" and was struck by Aldean's bus on the northbound lane of US 41 North, the police report said.

Knox County Sheriff Michel Morris confirmed that Aldean was on the bus at the time of the accident.

Aldean's rep also confirmed the news and said the "My Kinda Party" singer will release a statement later through his Twitter account.

When the coroner arrived on the scene, he pronounced "the individual deceased from trauma to the head and chest," according to the police report.

An investigation into the accident and death are underway.
