President Obama to Appear on ABC’s "The View"

BRENDAN SMIALOWSKI/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- President Barack Obama will appear on ABC’s The View on Tuesday, May 15 at 11 PM ET for an exclusive interview.

“We are honored to have President Obama visit The View for the fourth time [his second time as sitting president] and we promise to let him get a word in edgewise,” co-host Barbara Walters said.

Obama will touch on topics including his administration’s accomplishments, jobs, the economy and family life inside of the White House.

The president’s appearance on The View, to be taped Monday, is part of the show’s ongoing “Red, White & View” campaign, which is committed to political guests and discussions.

In July 2010, Obama made a historic visit to the broadcast when he became the first sitting U.S. president to appear on a daytime talk show. He was also a guest on the show in March 2008 and November 2004.
