(NEW YORK) -- Queen Latifah is going to the Super Bowl. She has been selected to perform "America the Beautiful" before the start of Super Bowl 48 this Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The singer, actress and daytime talk show host, who hails from New Jersey, previously sang "America the Beautiful" at the 2010 Super Bowl.
Jennifer Hudson, joined by the chorus of Newtown, Conn.'s Sandy Hook Elementary School, had the honor last year.
The NFL announced last week that opera star Renee Fleming will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Bruno Mars will be the halftime performer.
Super Bowl 48, pitting the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks, will air on Fox.
