Randy Travis Arrested for Public Intoxication

Sanger Police Dept.(SANGER, Texas) -- Randy Travis was arrested early Monday morning for public intoxication, ABC News Radio has confirmed.

The six-time Grammy winner reportedly had an open bottle of wine with him when he was apprehended by the Sanger, Texas police department in front of a church at approximately 1:30 a.m. ET.  Sanger is about an hour north of Dallas.  Travis was booked and released.

In addition to his Grammy awards, Travis, 52, has won over a dozen combined ACM and CMA awards.  His most recent album was last year's gospel collection, Blessed Assurance.
