Rep Denies Bullock Said She Was 'Permanently Broken' After Divorce

Michael Tran/Contributor/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Sandra Bullock did not feel "permanently broken" after her marriage to Jesse James fell apart, according to her rep.

The U.K.'s Daily Mirror has published a story in which it quotes the Oscar winner discussing her divorce from James in 2010, which followed reports that he'd cheated on her. She allegedly told the newspaper she felt "permanently broken."

Bullock is also quoted as saying, “I’ve been on the floor and I’ve been heartbroken,” and, “I didn’t know how I was going to stand up. But I just gave it time."

However, Bullock's rep tells Entertainment Tonight, "Not only is the quote completely manufactured, but there was no discussion of her divorce during the interview." ET will have more on the story on its show airing Monday night.

In a recent interview with Vogue magazine, Bullock said of her marriage to James, "I am exactly where I want to be now. You can't go backward. I'm not going backward. I'm grateful that I'm here, blessed to have what I have."
