Report: Chances Unlikely that Justin Bieber Will Be Charged with Battery

Kevin Mazur/WireImage via ABC(LOS ANGELES) -- Finally, some good news for Justin Bieber: the Los Angeles Times reports that it's unlikely the singer will be charged with battery in connection with that run-in with his neighbor last month.

According to the newspaper, L.A. County sheriff's detectives are investigating Justin's neighbor's complaint -- the man claims the singer threatened him and spat on him -- but they won't be recommending any specific charges.  According to the Los Angeles Times, what usually happens in cases like this, where neighbors are fighting, is that a judge orders a "conflict-resolution meeting," where people simply talk about their disagreement.

Justin and his team maintain that he did not threaten or spit on the neighbor, but detectives are also investigating whether Justin or his crew drove through their Calabasas, California neighborhood at unsafe speeds.  According to TMZ, the neighbor claims that it was his concerns about Justin's high-speed driving that led to the argument in the first place.

In other Justin news, he's apparently using his songwriting talents to help other artists.  His manager Scooter Braun tweeted, "so @justinbieber wrote a smash for @thewanted . damn. #hitrecord."  As most Beliebers know, Braun also manages The Wanted, and the British group plans to release new music later this year.
