Report: John Goodman Joins NBC’s 'Community'

David McNew/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Actor John Goodman has signed a deal to star in at least six episodes of the upcoming third season of NBC’s Community, reports.

Goodman has been cast as a new vice dean of an air conditioning repair program at Greendale Community College.

Series creator Dan Harmon tells the website he’s looking forward to Goodman sharing screen time with series regular Jim Rash, who plays Dean Pelton.

Harmon says, “When I heard we were going after Goodman, I got really excited about the idea of Jim Rash and Goodman on camera together. We’re pretty psyched...”

Community also stars Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, and Chevy Chase.
