Report: Larry King Joining Jon Stewart’s 'The Daily Show'

Jordan Strauss/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Larry King didn’t stay retired from TV very long.

The 77-year-old King, who stepped down from his long-running CNN chat show last December, is reportedly in talks to join Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show on Comedy Central.

The New York Post quotes a source as saying, "A single conversation has happened.  It's still extremely preliminary."

The source goes on to say that King will be on The Daily Show "every now and again, like Lewis Black," adding, "He's not joining as a correspondent but a contributor."

When asked to comment on the report, a Comedy Central rep would only say, "We love Larry."
