Report: Rob Lowe's Book Hurts Melissa Gilbert

Mitchell Haaseth/NBC(LOS ANGELES) -- Did the romance between Rob Lowe and Melissa Gilbert mean more to her than it did to him?  Gilbert wrote extensively about her relationship with the actor in her 2010 autobiography Prairie Tale, but he barely mentions her in his new book, reports PopEater.com. The former Little House on the Prairie star reportedly mentioned Lowe 77 times in her book, but Lowe only discussed her four times in his book, Stories I Only Tell My Friends.

In her book, Gilbert wrote at length about her on-again, off-again relationship with Lowe in the 1980s and her pregnancy miscarriage when they were together.  A friend of Gilbert's said Lowe's decision to slight her in his book has hurt her.

The source said, "She's devastated that someone who meant so much to her, someone who dominated her young life, doesn't think she was as important to him as her was to her."
