Report: Russell Brand Will Be Charged in Phone Tossing Incident

Tommaso Boddi/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ.com Russell Brand will be charged with misdemeanor criminal damage to property for tossing a photographer’s iPhone through a window in New Orleans this past March.

Brand allegedly grabbed the phone on March 12 and through it through the window of a nearby building.

The actor turned himself into police three days later and explained his actions on Twitter, writing, “Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory.”
