"Risky Business" Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Warner Brothers/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Monday marks the 30th anniversary of the release of one of Tom Cruise's most popular movies.

Risky Business debuted August 5, 1983, and featured Cruise in his breakout role. He played a Chicago high school student, Joel Goodson, who goes wild when his parents leave town on a trip. He meets and sleeps with a prostitute, played by Rebecca De Mornay; throws a party in his home; and -- oh, yeah -- he dances in his underwear to the Bob Seger song "Old Time Rock and Roll."

Cruise received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in Risky Business. The film's cast also included Curtis Armstrong, Joe Pantoliano and Bronson Pinchot.
