Robin Roberts Says She Feels '90 Percent' Normal

ABC/Ida Mae Astute(NEW YORK) -- ABC's Robin Roberts is enjoying her late summer vacation away from the Good Morning America desk. The anchor, who will return to the morning news program "after Labor Day," said she's almost feeling back to normal after returning earlier this year from a leave of absence to battle a rare blood disorder.

"I'm really at peace now. I'm not as frightened. I feel 90 percent of myself again, and that's a great feeling," the 52-year-old told People magazine.

Roberts made her comments earlier this week at an event that kicked off the US Open in New York City.

"The day after Labor Day I'll be back to a five-day a week schedule," she said. "I'm looking forward to it. I want to get back to my full life.  To be able to feel stronger and a little more active, it's great to feel that way again."

Roberts left the GMA anchor desk for five months after she underwent a bone marrow transplant to treat the blood disorder.  She returned last February.
