(LOS ANGELES) -- Sandra Bullock is in talks with Sony about joining the cast of Annie, a new big screen adaptation of the comic-strip-turned-musical the studio is making with producers Will Smith and Jay-Z, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The trade paper says Bullock and the studio were in talks this past March, but she passed at the time. Now, the two sides are back at the table. If a deal is made, Bullock would play Miss Hannigan, the child-hating orphanage matron.
Beasts of the Southern Wild child actress Quvenzhane Wallis is already cast as Annie, and Jamie Foxx has signed up to play a modern day version of the Daddy Warbucks character.
