(NEW YORK) -- Thursday night's episode of the ABC drama Scandal promises to be shocking. And that's saying something, considering the hit show has featured the vice president killing her husband, and the president sleeping with his campaign manager and surviving an assassination attempt.
But it might not just be hype. Tony Goldwyn, who plays President Fitzgerald Grant, says it's a really powerful episode.
"It's crazy. It's another one of those game changers, like when I got shot, and even more so," he tells ABC News Radio.
When asked if he could drop a spoiler or two, Goldwyn declined to do so.
The official preview released by ABC for Thursday night's episode doesn't shed much light, either. It states that Fitz is "thrown a curveball" during the first presidential debate; Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope receives shocking news; and "one dirty little secret could lead to deadly consequences."
Fans will just have to wait until the episode airs at 10 p.m. Eastern time to learn what all of the fuss is about.
