(NEW YORK) -- One of cable TV's highest-rated shows, AMC's The Walking Dead, doesn't return until Sunday, Oct. 13, but the producers are giving fans a sneak peek with a new trailer that initially debuted to a closed audience at San Diego Comic-Con.
The snippet shows Rick's army more organized and deadly than ever, at a time when the "walker" threat appears to be evolving: the zombies in the show are apparently adapting and becoming more dangerous than before. This is compounded by the danger from a survivor within the prison's walls bent on betraying the group.
The footage shows the jail that kept the survivors safe is faltering from increased walker assaults, forcing the survivors to flee into the open road, where they hear a mysterious radio message promising safe haven for any who can reach it. "Those who arrive survive," the garbled message teases.
