(NEW YORK) -- Sylvester Stallone is on a writing jag right about now, not only penning the script for The Expendables 3, but staying up late to fire off a bunch of tweets about that film and the upcoming boxing movie Grudge Match with Robert De Niro.
About Grudge Match, in which the former Rocky and Raging Bull stars face off as former champs, Stallone tweeted Monday evening, "Finished GRUDGE MATCH with Deniro and the fight was EPIC! !! This movie looks amazing and crowd pleasing!!!! Life is good !"
Regarding the third Expendables film, Stallone teased, "There are going to be mountains of surprises," and said he's still working on landing Jackie Chan, though attempts at snagging Steven Seagal didn't pan out.
"No S. Seagal, sorry," he posted, "but maybe we get lucky with J. Chan! And some young bloods!!!"
Stallone explained, "EX3 needs NEW blood and more humor," and said, he was looking to cast male stars, "22 to 27. Not big bruisers but [there's a role for a] tech wizard, super brains and a young woman who is not a sex symbol but funny, tough, REAL."
Grudge Match is set for a Nov. 13 release, while Expendables 3 has yet to begin production.
