(LONDON) -- The members of U2 certainly know how to keep their personal lives under wraps -- it seems that bass player Adam Clayton became a father early last year and nobody knew about it until now. What's more, nobody knows exactly who the mother is.
A spokeswoman for U2 confirmed to the Belfast Telegraph that 50-year-old Clayton is indeed the father of a baby boy, and according to published reports, the mother is thought to be a Frenchwoman.
Clayton, who's been a bachelor throughout his years with U2, was famously engaged to Naomi Campbell in 1994, but the two never married. He also got engaged to another girlfriend in 2006, but they split in 2007 after eight years together.
