Sundance Celebrity Sightings: Alessandra Ambrosio Hits the Slopes

Mark Sullivan/WireImage(PARK CITY, Utah) -- Park City got just a little bit hotter on Saturday when Victoria’s Secret beauty Alessandra Ambrosio hit the slopes. Ambrosio stopped by Oakley and New Era’s Learn to Ride lounge before strapping on a snowboard for the first time. Later that night, she rocked out at Hyde to the tunes of Adrian Grenier’s band, The Skins.

Other stars opted for indoor activities — Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep’s daughter and the co-star of the Sundance film “The Lifeguard,” got her makeup done at Urban Decay’s beauty bar in the Fender lounge. Jane Seymour touched up her hair at the Keratin Complex pop up salon. Octavia Spencer copped a new Speck case for her iPhone at Variety’s Sundance studio, and also popped into the Talent Resources suite to browse through Sean Jean jackets. “Dancing With the Stars’” Karina Smirnoff  and “90210′s” Annalynne McCord  came by Talent Resources to check out Cover Girl makeup and nibble on macarons from Macaron Magnifique.

Saturday night’s toast of the town was “Fruitvale,” a heart-wrenching re-telling of the events leading up to the murder of Oscar Grant at a San Francisco BART station in 2009. Spencer and her co-star Michael B. Jordan gamely hugged well-wishers and fans at “Fruitvale’s” premiere party at the Grey Goose Blue Door Lounge. Later, Casey Affleck, Josh Hartnett, and none other than Tony Danza came through to party, signaling that Grey Goose was very much the boss of Saturday night’s film party circuit.

Pregnant Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio Strips for Diamond Ad

Mark Sullivan/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- It turns out even when pregnant all a supermodel needs is a few well-placed jewels. In a new ad for the Vivaria jewelry line, Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio traded in push-up bras for diamonds.

Ambrosio, who is visibly pregnant with her second child, posed wearing little besides a few rings, bracelets and earrings from the Vivaria line. Shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the campaign is one of the few jobs Ambrosio has taken on while pregnant.

However, even a supermodel has to pay the bills and Ambrosio plans on hitting the catwalk again after her son is born.

“I already have jobs planned for afterwards, so hopefully will be back in shape,” she told British Vogue.

Ambrosio, who already has a daughter Anja, revealed last month on Facebook that she and her husband are expecting a boy, writing, “We really tried to keep it a surprise but we were too anxious! Soon, we will have a little boy to rock our world!!”

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Sneak Peek

ABC News(NEW YORK) -- A bevy of barely clad beauties will strut down the runway of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday to flashing lights, blasting music and dropping jaws.

What you won't see is the heavy lifting behind the scenes.

Last week, ABC News got a peek at how the legendary lingerie fashion show comes together.

The setting: a fluorescent-lit, bra-stuffed back office on the 12th floor of Victoria's Secret's midtown Manhattan headquarters.

The star: 30-year-old Victoria's Secret model Angel Alessandra Ambrosio, who was in the midst of her fashion show fitting.

The supporting cast: a dozen designers, producers, tailors and assistants -- and one 30-pound pair of gold wings.

"It's really heavy," Ambrosio said after a team of four unharnessed her from the contraption. "When I first put it on, I almost fell back; that's how heavy it was. You really have to put a lot of strength toward your shoulders to be able to hold that. But it's incredible. You can't say no to an outfit like that. Those wings are unbelievable."

Besides heft, the wings boast bling in the form of more than 100,000 Swarovski crystals. Victoria's Secret Fashion Show producer Monica Mitro called them "the most spectacular wings we've ever done.”

"She was struggling to walk in them but she was like, 'If it looks good, if I look good, I'm wearing it,'" Mitro said. "She's in her underwear, she's wearing high heels, it's a bit of a precarious runway. So you really have to want something badly to wear something that heavy on national television."

The show takes place Wednesday night but doesn’t air nationwide until Nov. 29.
