(LOS ANGELES) -- Zsa Zsa Gabor is recovering from an amputation of most of her right leg, according to KTLA-TV.
After undergoing the surgery Friday at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, her rep said the actress was doing well. She's expected to remain in the hospital for another week or two.
Gabor, who turns 94 in a few weeks, initially faced the possibility of amputation due to gangrene early this month, when she checked into the hospital. The decision to amputate reportedly was made after attempts failed to fight the early stages of the leg infection with antibiotics.
Gabor has battled a series of health problems since breaking her hip last July.
