Revolution for Apple: Beatles Come to iTunes

Photo Courtesy - Bruce McBroom/Apple Corps Ltd.(CUPERTINO, Calif.) -- It's been a "Long and Winding Road" but The Beatles and Apple have finally "Come Together."

Capitol Records announced Tuesday morning that the Beatles' catalog is now available on Apple's iTunes music store after years of legal wrangling.  Starting Tuesday, 13 Beatles studio albums, the classic Red and Blue hits compilations and the two-volume Past Masters compilation are all available for download.  A digital Beatles box set is also available -- in addition to all the albums, it also features an exclusive concert film called Live at Washington Coliseum 1964

"We're really excited to bring the Beatles' music to iTunes,” Paul McCartney said in a statement. “It's fantastic to see the songs we originally released on vinyl receive as much love in the digital world as they did the first time around."

Ringo Starr added, "I am particularly glad to no longer be asked when the Beatles are coming to iTunes."

Each single album will cost $12.99.  Doubles are $19.99 and individual songs are $1.29.
