(LOS ANGELES) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan was released from jail Friday night after her attorney appealed the 120-day sentence handed down to Lohan earlier in the day.
Lohan was reportedly released around 9:20 p.m. from the Century Regional Detention Facility, after posting $75,000 bail. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced Lohan to jail time for violating her probation when she allegedly stole a necklace valued at $2,500 from a jewelry store on January 22. Lohan was also sentenced to over 400 hours of community service.
On Friday the judge downgraded Lohan’s charge from felony grand theft to a misdemeanor, to which the actress pleaded not guilty. Lohan faces up to a year behind bars if found guilty.
