(BUENOS AIRES, Argentina) -- Although Michael Buble publicly stated that he would be getting married April 2, it seems the singer has jumped the gun.
The Buenos Aires Herald reported that he and fiancée Luisana Lopilato tied the knot in a civil ceremony Thursday in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The couple was surrounded by journalists and fans as they left the ceremony, smiling for photographers.
According to the paper, the couple will have a religious ceremony this weekend, at the Villa Maria palace in Canuelas, outside Buenos Aires. A party will follow. The couple plan to have another party in May in Buble's home country of Canada.
According to the paper, Lopilato, an Argentine actress and singer, said, "I’m surprised and overwhelmed by the amount of fans and journalists that came out today. I’m a normal person, despite my job, and I really wasn’t expecting this."
