Nick Gordon Arrested for Speeding

Alpharetta Dept. of Public Safety(ATLANTA) -- On the same day Bobbi Kristina Brown wrecked her car, her adopted brother, Nick Gordon, was arrested for speeding.

Alpharetta, Ga., police nabbed Gordon just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday after he was clocked going 82 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to a press release from the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

After he was arrested and cited for reckless driving and speeding, Gordon was booked into the North Fulton jail annex before being bonded out.

ABC News was unable to reach Gordon for comment.

The 23-year-old was taken into custody because the area where he was found speeding is in “a high vehicular and pedestrian traffic area,” filled with retail stores and restaurants, according to the release obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“In a situation such as this, the department has a duty to take reasonable enforcement action to protect the public,” the release read.

Gordon was pulled over while behind the wheel of a grey Camaro. Earlier that day, Brown, 19, escaped injury after losing control of her black Camaro and driving down an embankment. She is the daughter of the late Whitney Houston.

Both incidents occurred days after the pair, who have long kept people guessing about the status of their relationship, appeared to have split.

“@REALbkBrown and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been,” Gordon tweeted Nov. 18.

Brown also hinted that any romance was over in a series of cryptic tweets.

“Who do I trust in this world? Pfft well that’s easy beezie, #Myself,” she wrote Nov. 26.

A court date for Gordon is scheduled for Feb. 12.

Ex-WNBA Star Chamique Holdsclaw Charged in Assault on Ex-Girlfriend’s Car

File photo. iStockphoto/Thinkstock(ATLANTA) -- Former WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw, 35, has been ordered not to contact her ex-girlfriend after Holdsclaw was accused of  striking her car with a baseball bat and firing a gun inside.

Holdsclaw was arrested Thursday on two counts of aggravated assault, one count each of first-degree criminal damage to property, second-degree criminal damage and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Tracy Flanagan from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office told ABC News. She is being held at the Fulton County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Holdsclaw will not be released until she makes arrangements for an ankle monitor.

“She will have to wait her turn. There’s no express line. Could take all day,” Flanagan said.

Atlanta police issued an arrest warrant for Holdsclaw on Tuesday after she allegedly followed WNBA player and former flame Jennifer Lacy, 29, from her workout to her friend’s house.

Once Lacy arrived and pulled over, Holdsclaw allegedly got out of her car with a baseball bat and approached Lacy’s Range Rover. She then proceeded to smash the driver’s side window and the rear passenger window, before hoisting a pistol inside the car and firing, according to the police report.

Holdsclaw then fled the scene. Police recovered the 9mm shell casing from inside Lacy’s vehicle. Lacy was unharmed, police said.

“I want to thank my family, friends, fans and Shock family for their concern during this difficult time. I have never felt more love from my fans in supporting me,” Lacy said in a statement released by the Tulsa Shock.

Holdsclaw is a six-time WNBA All-Star, NCAA champion and 2000 Olympics gold medal winner.

She published her autobiography, Breaking Through: Beating the Odds Shot After Shot, in March 2012. In the book, she discusses her battle with clinical depression and how it affected her basketball career.

“Everything is a lesson learned. We all make decisions good and bad. As long as we grow from them that’s all that matters. #lessonlearned,” Holdsclaw posted on Twitter on Nov. 13.

Holdsclaw is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 30. She was not available for comment.

Snoop Dogg Arrested in Texas

Maury Phillips/WireImage(SIERRA BLANCA, Texas) -- Snoop Dogg was arrested in Texas over the weekend after a police dog sniffed out marijuana on his tour bus.

Authorities tell TMZ that Snoop's bus was stopped in Sierra Blanca, the same small town in West Texas where country singer Willie Nelson was caught with weed in 2010.  At the time, Snoop spoke out on Willie's behalf, telling TMZ that cops "better leave Willie the f*** alone."

Border patrol agents on Snoop's bus over the weekend say their dog led them to a wastebasket, where they found a prescription bottle with several joints inside.  Snoop -- who has a prescription for cannabis in California -- was taken into custody because Texas has a zero-tolerance policy for weed, regardless of a person's status elsewhere.  Authorities issued Snoop a citation for misdemeanor drug possession and released him.  If he's convicted on the drug charge, he could face up to 180 days in jail.

Report: Adam Lambert Arrested in Finland After Brawl with Boyfriend

Barry King/FilmMagic(HELSINKI, Finland) -- Adam Lambert was arrested in Finland Wednesday night after getting into a brawl with his boyfriend outside a bar, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lambert and his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen, a star of the Finnish version of Big Brother, reportedly started arguing inside a gay bar in Helsinki, but when they were kicked out of the establishment, they continued arguing in the street.  A woman who was hanging out with Lambert and Koskinen in the bar told a Finnish entertainment channel that when she tried to get between them to break up the fight, Lambert hit her by mistake.

When the police arrived, they took both Lambert and Koskinen into custody, and they were questioned and released on Thursday.  Afterwards, Koskinen wrote on his blog, in a comment that was translated from the Finnish by Google Translate, "Publicity is not easy, but also celebrities are just human. Love is not easy either, but it lasts forever!"

Lambert, who arrived in Finland on Dec. 19 to celebrate Christmas with Koskinen, has yet to tweet anything about the incident.
