Former "Bachelor" Contestant Hospitalized in Critical Condition

Photo by Joe Corrigan/Getty Images(NEW ORLEANS) -- Gia Allemand, a contestant on the 2010 season of ABC's The Bachelor, is reportedly in critical condition in a New Orleans hospital.

According to a statement from her representative obtained by various media outlets, the 29-year-old Allemand was hospitalized following a "serious emergency medical event," the nature of which has not been disclosed.

The rep said Allemand's mother and boyfriend, basketball player Ryan Anderson of the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans, were by her side.

The star of the 2010 Bachelor season, Jake Pavelka, has tweeted, "Please pray for @GiaAllemand... A dear friend and one of the sweetest women I know... #powerofprayer."

Allemand was the second runner-up on that season. She went on to appear on the first season of Bachelor Pad.

Jake Pavelka Eliminated from 'Bachelor Pad'

Michael Buckner/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Vienna Girardi and her boyfriend Kasey Kahl can claim victory in their Bachelor Pad feud over her ex-fiancé, Jake Pavelka. In what host Chris Harrison called the closest vote in series history, the former Bachelor star Pavelka was sent home on Monday's episode.

The rose ceremony climaxed with a showdown between Jake and Kasey for the final flower. The episode ended immediately after Harrison said Kasey's name, so we'll have to wait until next Monday to see Jake's reaction to his elimination.

With Jake out of the picture, Vienna can work on improving her relationship with Kasey. The couple bickered earlier in the episode after Kasey claimed she was talking to Jake too much. She countered that he wasn't doing a good enough job protecting her from Jake. Kasey later patched things up by giving Vienna a "promise ring."

Michelle Money and Michael Stagliano won the immunity challenge, which involved the contestants performing synchronized swimming. On her three-on-one date, Michelle gave a rose to Graham Bunn. Michael presented a rose during his three-on-one date to Holly Durst, with whom he enjoyed a private performance by Bret Michaels of his hit Poison song "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

'Bachelor Pad' Couple Already Broken Up

Digital Vision/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) -- On Monday's episode of Bachelor Pad, Jackie Gordon and Ames Brown left the competition in a limo, seemingly having fallen in love on the show. Are they destined to live happily ever after, right?  Nope.

Both contestants tell Entertainment Weekly that they've broken up. They say that after they departed the Bachelor Pad mansion, they spent a week in California's wine country, then another week or two in New York City. The ex-couple won't say why exactly their relationship fell apart after that. Gordon says, "I certainly fell in love with him. I feel like the rug was kinda pulled out from underneath me. I feel like we went from perfection and the potential to be the perfect couple to kind of having my heart broken.”

Brown took the high road while chatting with Entertainment Weekly, saying of Jackie only that “she is a really, really great girl, beautiful and charming, and we just weren’t the perfect match in the end."  Could he find his true love on the next season of The Bachelor? When asked about that possibility, Brown said he hasn't been approached by producers to star on the show.
