Lindsay Lohan Released on Bail

Toby Canham/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan was released from jail Friday night after her attorney appealed the 120-day sentence handed down to Lohan earlier in the day.

Lohan was reportedly released around 9:20 p.m. from the Century Regional Detention Facility, after posting $75,000 bail. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced Lohan to jail time for violating her probation when she allegedly stole a necklace valued at $2,500 from a jewelry store on January 22. Lohan was also sentenced to over 400 hours of community service.

On Friday the judge downgraded Lohan’s charge from felony grand theft to a misdemeanor, to which the actress pleaded not guilty. Lohan faces up to a year behind bars if found guilty.

Lohan Back To Jail, No Bail Set

Photo Courtesy -- ABC News.(LOS ANGELES) -- After failing two drug tests, including positive results for both cocaine and Adderall, TMZ.com reported Friday actress Lindsday Lohan is being held in custody without bail.  Lohan appeared in court Friday morning before Judge Elden Fox.  Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley told TMZ.com while leaving the courthouse that Judge Fox had no legal basis for denying her client bail.  Lohan was handcuffed before being taken into custody.  TMZ.com also reports that Lohan could remain in jail until Oct. 22.
