Did a Boston TV Station Fake the Fourth?

Comstock/Thinkstock(BOSTON) -- Some viewers are taking a Boston TV station to task over its coverage of the city's Fourth of July fireworks telecast.

Sharp-eyed viewers noted that the city's annual fireworks display wouldn't be visible from some of the city's landmarks, yet the rockets' red glare was seen exploding right over them during the local CBS telecast.

Now the show's producer is coming clean, admitting to the Boston Globe he digitally superimposed the fireworks over footage of the landmarks that was previously shot.

New Kids, Backstreet Boys to Play in Fenway Park

Photo Courtesy - Interscope/Legacy Recordings/Sony/Jive(BOSTON) -- New Kids on the Block formed in Boston in 1984, and this summer the group is set to take the stage at that city's famed Fenway Park, along with their tour mates The Backstreet Boys.

The two groups have announced a June 11 date at Fenway Park, with tickets going on sale Feb. 5 at 10:00 a.m. via and  The group is moving their previously-scheduled June 11 show, in Long Island, New York, to July 31 in order to play this special gig.

In a statement, New Kids member Donnie Wahlberg said, "As a group of South Boston kids, we never thought we would get an opportunity like this.  Our dreams are coming true.  And one of the best parts is that we get to share this moment with our friends the Backstreet Boys."

The joint NKOTBSB tour kicks off June 2 in Uncasville, Connecticut.  New dates have just been added in New York and Chicago, and new stops in a few more cities in North America have been tacked onto the trek, for a total of more than 50 stops.
