(LOS ANGELES) -- It's a drama that would drain even Frasier Crane.
Frasier star Kelsey Grammer is embroiled in a tug-of-war of a divorce with his wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Camille Donatacci. While he reportedly wants to speed up the split so that he can marry his latest paramour, former flight attendant Kayte Walsh, the law is not making it easy.
According to TMZ.com, Grammer, 55, is seeking "bifurcation," which means a judge would officially end his marriage to Donatacci, 47, even though the terms of the divorce, such as financial agreements, haven't been decided. With bifurcation, Grammer could become a single man ready to tie the knot again as early as Jan. 1, 2011 -- six months after Donatacci filed a divorce petition.
While Grammer and Donatacci's marriage could be over in matter of days, the couple's financial drama will likely play out well into the new year. TMZ.com reports that the two never signed a prenup, and that during their 13 years as husband and wife, they built up a fortune of more than $100,000,000 in real estate, his earnings from Frasier and the proceeds from their company, Grammernet Productions. If no prenup exists, Donatacci is entitled to half of that fortune -- $50 million.
Perhaps Grammer will tred more carefully as he steps into his next marriage -- his fourth. Grammer announced his engagement to Walsh, 29, Dec. 6. In August, the couple announced they were expecting a baby, but two months later revealed that Walsh had miscarried.
