Charlize Theron Shaves Her Head for Movie Role

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Blonde-haired, Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron is looking a bit different these days, according to E! Online.

The Snow White and the Huntsman star has shaved her head for her role as Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road, a reboot of the 1979 action film that originally starred Mel Gibson.  Theron was photographed in Beverly Hills on Monday wearing a grey felt hat over her chrome dome as she carried her 6-month-old son Jackson.

The movie, which also stars Tom Hardy, is set to start shooting in Africa next month -- a continent that holds a special place in Theron's heart.  Theron was born in Benoni, South Africa, in 1975, and even though she became a U.S. citizen in 2007, she still retains her South African citizenship.

Kristen Stewart Says "Twilight" Helped Her Relate to "Snow White" Character

Summit Entertainment, LLC(NEW YORK) -- Kristen Stewart says her experience with the Twilight saga gave her insight in playing Snow White in the new movie Snow White and the Huntsman

Stewart tells the June issue Interview magazine her character feels a “debilitating isolation” because she’s been locked away in a little cell for seven years, and the 22-year-old actress says she could definitely “relate to that.”  Stewart tells the magazine, “The fans and people who loved Twilight, they do put you on this sort of different plane where you're not real.  It's like you don't exist.”

Snow White and the Huntsman also stars Charlize Theron as the evil Queen Ravenna. Stewart says she only had a few shooting days with Theron, but she enjoyed discovering they share the same approach to acting.  Stewart tells Interview, “We only had a few days together but we both are absolutely willing to hurt ourselves to do what it takes to get the right feeling, and not all actors are like that.” Stewart adds, “Most actors like to be really comfy.”

Theron tells Interview she can relate to her character's obsession with her looks and mortality, but turning to surgery to keep her youthful appearance is not an option for her right now.  “I can’t foresee myself ever going under the knife, but then again, I’m only in my mid-thirties.  Maybe it's different when you're in your mid-sixties. So I don’t want to make statements about where I’m gonna be in 30 years,” says Theron.

Snow White and the Huntsman opens nationwide this Friday.

Charlize Theron Fine Being a Single Mom -- For Now

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Charlize Theron opens up about aging, motherhood and relationships in an interview with InStyle magazine.  As she gets older, the 36-year-old actress says she can feel her body changing and she’s OK with that. “Part of me understands I may not be in front of the camera forever, and maybe not just because of age, but because of me.” She notes that she has started her own production company, with an eye towards a behind-the-scenes future in Hollywood.

Theron has an adopted son named Jackson and hopes to be “10 percent of the mom mine was to me.” She adds that she wants her son to be confident and enjoy life.

When it comes to relationships, the Snow White & The Huntsman star says she’s always open to opportunity but is “not putting feelers out there now.” She muses, “I’m a relationship girl. That’s kind of just how I’m made.”

Cast Agrees: 'Snow White and the Huntsman' Ain't Your Father's Snow White

Stuart Wilson/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- In a summer of highly anticipated movies, Snow White and the Huntsman is holding its own against avenging superheroes and invading alien armies in terms of buzz. The film, a darker take on the Snow White story, stars Charlize Theron as the evil Queen Ravenna, and Twilight series star Kristen Stewart as the titular heroine -- re-envisioned in this film more warrior princess than damsel in distress.

Chris Hemsworth, who played Thor in The Avengers, also stars as the Huntsman, who is sent to bring Snow White to the queen, but has a change of heart.

Snow White and the Huntsman had its premiere in London Monday night, and the stars made something clear: this is no kid's movie. "It's a kind of gothic, darker more epic version of it, you know?" Hemsworth said. "It's similar to Lord of the Rings and Gladiator more so than the clean Disney fairytale we've seen before."

Oscar winner Theron says the movie "is a throwback to the original darker Brothers Grimm," version of the tale.

Snow White and the Huntsman hits theaters June 1.

Charlize Theron Adopts Baby Boy

PRNewsFoto/Mercedes-Benz USA(NEW YORK) -- Actress Charlize Theron is now the "proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson," according to a statement released by her publicist. No other details were released ,but one report said that the boy was adopted from South Africa, where Theron was born and raised.

This is the first child for the 36-year-old, who has been single since her split from actor Stuart Townsend in 2010. Theron has often spoken about her desire for children, but has also said that marriage was “never something that was important,” according to People.com

In her most recent film, Theron played a Kardashian-watching, Maker’s Mark-swilling, self-loathing 30-something in Young Adult -- not exactly great preparation for motherhood.

In an interview with ABC News Now’s Popcorn with Peter Travers, Theron talked about preparing to play an unhappy couch potato, which involved many DVDs of MTV’s My Super Sweet 16.

“It was the most horrifying show I had ever seen in my entire life,” she said. “I seriously want people to watch that as birth control. I don’t want to have a child when I watch that show. There’s some 16-year-old girl crying, having a small stroke, because she got the wrong color Range Rover and her party only cost a half a million dollars.”

Theron won an Oscar for her role as female serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the film Monster.

Theron: People Should Watch Reality TV ‘As Birth Control’

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Charlize Theron plays a Kardashian-watching, Maker’s Mark-swilling, self-loathing 30-something in Young Adult, out Friday and already the subject of much praise and talk of golden statues.

In real life, though, she finds reality TV horrifying.

As far as watching reality TV when she’s not on the clock, Theron said, “I don’t subscribe to that life. Oh God, no. But I think from afar, it’s fascinating. As far as an actor, human behavior and observing that, it’s fascinating to watch.”

Charlize Theron Ready to Work with Kristen Stewart on Snow White Film

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic(SAN DIEGO) -- Two days after promoting the next Twilight film, Kristen Stewart made another appearance at San Diego's Comic-Con on Saturday to discuss her upcoming Snow White flick. Snow White and the Huntsman is a dark spin on the classic fairy tale. It won't resemble the classic Disney story -- director Rupert Sanders said, "Our movie is full of giant battle scenes with exploding black knights."

Stewart plays Snow White, with Charlize Theron co-starring as the Evil Queen. Theron said that in the brief amount of time she'd spent with Stewart prior to Comic-Con, she realized that Stewart is "probably going to give me a run for my money." Theron then joked, "I'm ready for it, b****, let's go!"
