‘Modern Family’ Kid Actors Demand Higher Salaries

ABC/MARIO PEREZ(LOS ANGELES) -- The four main young stars of the show, Modern Family, will renegotiate for higher salaries next week with studio 20th Century Fox Television reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Representatives of the three of the child stars – Nolan Gould, 13, who plays Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen’s son Luke; Ariel Winter, 14, who plays middle daughter Alex; and Rico Rodriguez, 13, who plays Sofia Vergara’s sophisticated son Manny – have banned together like the adult actors in negotiating for uniform salary raises.

Sarah Hyland, 21, who plays Haley - the oldest daughter of the Dunhpy’s, will also renegotiate her contract but already has a higher salary than her younger co-stars because she has more acting experience on shows like One Life to Live and Lipstick Jungle.

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, 5, who plays the adopted daughter of Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, will most likely not receive a higher raise because she only joined the cast last season.

Both representatives for the actors and representatives of 20th TV declined to comment.

'Modern Family' Producers Want Another Kid

ABC/COLLEEN HAYES(LOS ANGELES) -- Producers of the hit show Modern Family want another kid. Specifically, they're telling casting agents to look for a replacement for Lilly, Cameron and Mitchell's adopted daughter, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Twins Jaden and Ella Hiller currently play baby Lily, and they might keep their gig as they get older. But executive producer Steve Levitan told the magazine, "We adore Jaden and Ella, but have started to think that they'd rather be at home playing than working as actors. If we end up making a change, it's only because we want what's best for them."
