Rihanna Talks About Chris Brown, Wanting to Be a Mom with "Elle UK"

Christopher Polk/Getty Images for NARAS(LONDON) -- Rihanna has opened up about her relationship with Chris Brown in the April issue of Elle UK.

The singer reportedly tells the magazine that Brown, who assaulted her four years ago, has matured and is a changed man.

Rihanna explains, "Right now, that's just what we want, a great friendship, that's unbreakable."  She adds, "Now that we’re adults we can do this right.  We got a fresh start and we’re thankful for that."

The singer continues, "You don’t have that feeling with everybody so when you have it, you don't want to let go of it.  I would definitely say he is the one I have that kind of relationship with."

Rihanna doesn't consider herself to be a victim.  She tells the magazine that the gun tattoo on the right side of her torso is a symbol of empowerment she got soon after that 2009 incident.

Rihanna says, "Everybody wanted to know what was happening in my life.  Is she a drug addict?  No.  Is she an alcoholic?  No.  Is she a victim?  No."

The "Stay" singer notes, "That's why I got the gun.  It was a symbol of strength.  I'll never be a victim."

While she may not believe herself to be a victim, there is one thing Rihanna definitely wants to be -- a mom.  When questioned about where she sees herself in five years, the singer responds, "I will probably have a kid."

Chris Brown Says Elton John Has Been 'a Good Friend' to Him

Chris Polk/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Chris Brown lost some longtime supporters in the music industry when he assaulted Rihanna in 2009, but he's also found some unlikely folks who are in his corner, like rock legend Elton John.  "I met Elton about a year ago, and he's been a good friend to me," Chris told the New York Post's Page Six.

In fact, Chris was one of the many guests this past Sunday at Elton's star-studded charity Oscar viewing party, along with Britney Spears, Bono, Miley Cyrus, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, and more.  Entertainment Weekly reports that at the party, Elton, who's taken many other young performers under his wing in the past, was happy to pose with Chris for photographers, and took him around to say hi to some of the big names at the event.

Chris told EW, "It was an honor for him to personally invite me and it’s a blessing to be here."  Noting that the event raised money for Elton's AIDS Foundation, Chris said, "At the end of the day, I’m not homophobic in any way and I don’t focus on the negative that people bring to it.”

When Chris was reminded of the year that Elton performed at the Grammy with Eminem after the rapper was accused of being homophobic, he told EW, referring to Elton, "I think he does what he thinks is right and finding the positive while a lot of other people focus on the negative.”

Chris showed up to the party without a date, but confirmed that he and Rihanna are back together.  "She is the most beautiful girl in the world," Chris told the Post, adding that he was "sad" she couldn't come with him to Elton's shindig because she was rehearsing for her upcoming Diamonds world tour.

Chris Brown Says Rihanna Has ‘Forgiven’ Him

Christopher Polk/Getty Images for NARA(NEW YORK) -- Chris Brown calls his 2009 assault on Rihanna the “deepest regret” of his life, but says their recent reconciliation is because Rihanna “loves" him and has “forgiven” him.

Speaking at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscars party after Sunday’s Academy Awards, Brown told the U.K.’s Mirror, “Sometimes you fight with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals.”

“That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake,” he said. “But she loves me -- what can I say? I’m forgiven … but, yes, I worked hard for it.”

The R&B star admitted that it took many months of “serious making up” to win back Rihanna’s love, but he said he has grown up since that night in February 2009 when he physically attacked Rihanna, leaving her bloodied and bruised.

“I’ve learned a lot since that night and I’ve grown up. I was very young and I took a lot of stuff, fame, for granted,” the 23-year-old said. “I didn’t understand it. The support from those who do know me and the fans, who are incredible, got me through.”

Brown has blown off the public backlash against him since reuniting with Rihanna, including Seth MacFarlane’s Oscar joke in which he compared the “unspeakable violence” of Django Unchained to a “date night for Rihanna and Chris Brown.”

“People attack me and criticize me, it happens all the time,” he said. “But they don’t know me, and they don’t know us. It doesn’t bother me anymore.”

He added, “Other people can judge us, but they don’t know anything.”

Rihanna echoed Brown’s comments in her own interview the Mirror published earlier this week.

“It’s different now,” she said. “We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about [stuff]. We value each other.”

She added: “He’s not the monster everyone thinks. He’s a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He’s giving and loving. And he’s fun to be around. That’s what I love about him. He always makes me laugh.”

Did Chris Brown, Rihanna Smoke Up in Los Angeles Nightclub?

TMZ[dot]com(LOS ANGELES) -- We're not sure if the couple that smokes together, stays together, but in the case of Chris Brown and Rihanna, puffing and passing in public could spell trouble.

That's especially true for Breezy, who is on probation and was seen behind the wheel of a car shortly after he was spotted lighting up what looked like a joint, according to TMZ.com.  Driving under the influence of marijuana is a crime in California, even if someone has a medical marijuana card.

According to the website, club-goers spotted Chris and Rihanna partying at Hollywood's Supperclub following Sunday night's Grammy Awards show in Los Angeles.  Both singers appear to be lighting up at the club, with one photo showing Chris taking a drag from what appears to be a hand-rolled cigarette, then blowing smoke into the air.

Chris could have been smoking tobacco for all we know. But partygoers tell TMZ that they smelled pot smoke.

Chris Brown Crashes Car While Evading Paparazzi

Chris Polk/FilmMagic(BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.) – Chris Brown crashed his Porsche into a wall while evading paparazzi on the eve of the Grammy awards, police in Beverly Hills said.

A representative for Brown, who is nominated at tonight’s awards show for best urban contemporary album, said the R&B singer was on his way to a charity event when he was cut off by two vehicles.“The occupants then jumped out with cameras and aggressively approached his vehicle,” the singer’s representative told ABC News.

Brown reportedly turned down an alley to evade the photographers, but was trapped by two other vehicles and ended up slamming into a wall.

The crash comes at the end of a difficult week for Brown.

On Wednesday, he appeared in court to face accusations that he violated his probation by submitting false community service records in connection with his sentence for assaulting Rihanna in 2009.

At the hearing, Superior Court Judge James Brandlin asked for additional reports and set a new hearing date of April 5.

Mark Geragos, a lawyer for Brown, told KABC that Brown “didn’t violate anything.”  Geragos said the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office “should be ashamed of themselves [because] they besmirched the reputation of Chris Brown based on no evidence.”

Brown, by prior agreement, has been completing his community service obligation in his home state of Virgina, but the L.A. County District Attorney claimed in legal documents, posted by the Los Angeles Times, that Brown may have faked his community service work and that documentation of his hours were, “at best sloppy, and at worst fraudulent reporting.”

Chris Brown Accused of Submitting Bogus Community Service Docs

Maury Phillips/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department won't file charges against Chris Brown in his reported brawl with Frank Ocean, based on Ocean's decision not to go forward with the case.  But Brown is still facing major legal drama, namely the accusation that he violated his probation by submitting bogus community service records in connection with his sentence for assaulting Rihanna in 2009.

Mark Geragos, a lawyer for Brown, tells ABC News affiliate KABC-TV, however, that "Chris didn’t violate anything."  Geragos goes on to say that the L.A. County District Attorney's office "should be ashamed of themselves they besmirched the reputation of Chris Brown based on no evidence."

Brown has been ordered to appear at a probation violation hearing in Los Angeles Wednesday at 2 p.m. PT.

Brown, by prior agreement, has been completing his community service obligation in his home state of Virgina, but the L.A. County District Attorney claims in legal documents, posted by The Los Angeles Times, that Brown may have faked his community service work, and that documentation of his hours were "at best sloppy, and at worst fraudulent reporting."

The D.A. is calling for Brown to fulfill his obligation by doing work in Los Angeles County.

In one instance, the D.A. alleges, Brown claimed to have picked up trash in Virginia but airline records show that instead, he was actually aboard a private jet headed to Cancun.  But Geragos refutes that, arguing that his client "was not on a plane to Cancun."

In another case, the documents claim, Brown supposedly completed more than the required 180 days of community service, in part by doing odd jobs around Virginia's Tappahannock Children's Center, a facility where his mom once was a director.  He reported painting, washing windows and more at the center, but the D.A.'s motion reveals that the Virginia probation officer assigned to Brown told investigators that no one from his department supervised, monitored or verified Brown's work.

But Brown's lawyer says that Richmond Police Chief Bryan T. Norwood supervised all of Brown's community service, including spot checking at the children's center.  Geragos says Brown was always found doing his work.

As for the D.A.'s office, Brown's lawyer says, "They are absolutely wrong and they know it."

In addition to citing issues with Brown's community service documentation, the D.A. is also calling attention to other possible probation violations by Brown, including the time witnesses say he tossed a chair through the window following a Good Morning America interview.  He also tested positive for marijuana, was accused of swiping a fan's phone in Miami and failed to obtain a travel permit, according to the documents.

Of course, Brown's run-in with Ocean is also an issue.  And with a TMZ report that Ocean told police he was called a "f**got" during the altercation, it's unlikely that the controversy will go away anytime soon.  The D.A.'s report also says that Brown threatened to shoot Ocean during the incident.

Amid all this drama, Brown let off some steam Tuesday on his Instagram account, which is now private.  According to E! News, he composed a long post in which he wrote, "Im wise I can handle the hate but enough is enough yo!! Yes it bothers me but its not my main focus! My music is..."

Brown continued, "Im a human being and I honestly think I deserve respect im sick of being accused...Im Tired yall just dont understand Ive been going through this s*** since I was 19 years old..you cant sit here and tell me to calm down, when am I gonna get a positive outcome out of anything I do?"

Rihanna on Chris Brown Relationship: 'If It's a Mistake, It's My Mistake'

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- "Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake."  That's how Rihanna sums up her decision to hook back up with Chris Brown, four years after he assaulted her in February 2009, the night before the Grammys.

In a new Rolling Stone cover story, Rihanna says of her renewed relationship with Brown, "When you add up the pieces from the outside, it's not the cutest puzzle in the world. ...But it's different now.  We don't have those types of arguments anymore.  We talk about sh*t.  We value each other.  We know exactly what we have now, and we don't want to lose that."

As for why she got back together with Brown in the first place, Rihanna says, "I decided it was more important for me to be happy.  I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that.  Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake.  After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash.  I can handle it."

So what happens if Brown turns on her again?

"He doesn't have the luxury of f**king up again," Rihanna declares.  "I can't say that nothing else will ever go wrong.  But I'm pretty solid in the knowing that he's disgusted by that.  And I wouldn't have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility."

You can read more of the Rihanna interview in the Feb. 14 issue of Rolling Stone, out this Friday.

Report: Chris Brown, Frank Ocean Involved in Fight at Studio

Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic | Maury Phillips/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Chris Brown vs. Drake?  That's yesterday's news.  Brown's latest feud is with Frank Ocean.

TMZ.com reports the two were involved in a fight at a Los Angeles-area studio Sunday night.

Brown reportedly was at Westlake Studio to listen to an artist he represents.  Sources close to Brown say that when Brown attempted to leave the studio, he was allegedly prevented from doing so by Ocean and Ocean's crew.

Ocean reportedly told Brown, "This is my studio, this is my parking spot."

Brown reportedly tried to shake Ocean's hand, but was attacked by one of Ocean's friends.  A pal of Brown's retaliated, and then Ocean and Brown had a physical altercation.

TMZ.com reports that when police arrived on the scene, Brown had already left the studio but they did get to interview Ocean.

Now, according to a statement released early Monday morning by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies from the West Hollywood Station are investigating Brown for alleged battery.

According to the LASD statement, "Deputies responded to a call of six males fighting at the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood.  Upon their arrival, deputies talked to witnesses who stated that Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space.  The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim. After a brief fight, the parties were separated."

While the LASD statement doesn't specifically state the location of the reported altercation, Westlake Recording Studio is located at 7265 Santa Monica Boulevard.

The statement concludes, "Chris Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the arrival of deputies.  The investigation is on-going and investigators will contact Chris Brown at a later time."

For his part, Ocean tweeted early Monday morning, "Got jumped by Chris and a couple guys," followed by, "cut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the grammys."

Chris Brown and Rihanna Sit Together at Lakers Game

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Chris Brown and Rihanna have been hanging out a lot lately, but they appeared before a large crowd on Christmas Day, when they sat side-by-side at the Lakers-Knicks basketball game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Oddly enough, TMZ.com reports the two arrived at the arena in the same vehicle, but got out of the car separately and met up later at their courtside seats.

Brown and Rihanna haven't officially announced that they're back together, but it sure looks that way, especially since Brown dumped his girlfriend Karrueche Tran earlier this year.  He has been seen with Rihanna a lot since then.

Chris Brown and Rihanna Heating Up?

Chris Polk/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- It was a busy weekend for Rihanna and Chris Brown: First, Rihanna tweeted a shirtless photo of what appears to be ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, followed by her own topless photo. Then Brown launched into a vulgar attack on comedy writer Jenny Johnson before deactivating his Twitter account altogether.

It all started Saturday with Rihanna’s posting a photo of what looks to be a half-naked Chris Brown lying face-down, his highly recognizable tattoos visible, on a bed covered with The Simpsons memorabilia and a handbag. The “Diamonds” singer posted the photo on Twitter, along with the hashtag “BartObsessed.”

Hours earlier, Brown had posted a photo of himself wearing a Bart Simpson jacket.

The following day, Rihanna posted her own topless photo, along with the hashtag, “LondonNightLife.” Wearing tiny black spandex shorts, the singer posed with her bare back facing the camera while shooting a “come hither” look over her shoulder.

Although Brown and Rihanna have yet to confirm that they are back on, their latest antics continue to fuel the rumors.

Rihanna was photographed Thanksgiving night getting into a car with Brown in Berlin, after attending his concert in the German capital, followed by a nightclub after-party.

Not everyone is pleased with the possibility of their getting back together. Brown got into a Twitter feud Sunday with popular comedy writer Jenny Johnson, who tweets under her handle @JennyJohnsonHi5.

Johnson has poked fun at Brown since his 2009 arrest for beating Rihanna, for which he pleaded guilty to assault, but the comedian caught his ire over the weekend after responding to his tweet about how old he looked.

“I know! Being a worthless piece of s*** can really age a person,” she tweeted in response.

Brown then hurled sexually graphic insults at her, but Johnson did not back down, even correcting Brown’s spelling, saying: “It’s ‘HO’ not ‘HOE.’”

“I have zero respect for a person who seems unapologetic for the terrible crime he committed and shows no signs of changing,” she wrote at the end of the exchange.

“Just ask Rihanna if she mad??????” Brown wrote, before he deactivated his account, which was then restored minus the worst tweets.
