Dr. Phil’s 1957 Chevy Stolen in Los Angeles

Theo Wargo/WireImage for Turner(LOS ANGELES) -- TV personality Dr. Phil McGraw was left heartbroken this week when his $100,000 ’57 Chevy was stolen after he took it in for repair at a Los Angeles auto shop.

McGraw was working on his classic car’s transmission with a friend in an attempt to get the vehicle to start, reported.  Unsuccessful, McGraw took his Bel Air model to a Burbank auto shop to have the pros take a look.

Unfortunately for McGraw, thieves reportedly broke into the shop and nabbed the car. Police sources told that the burglars smashed a roll-up door at the shop to get to McGraw’s car.

The sought-after classic car, which is a choice model to be modified and restored by gear heads, was first introduced by Chevrolet in 1956. It has since become an iconic ride, turning up in television and films and often used as a model for toy cars and in graphics.

Did Dr. Phil Try to Pull the Rug Out from Under Oprah?

Theo Wargo/WireImage for Turner(LOS ANGELES) -- It seems like Dr. Phil McGraw has an odd way of showing his gratitude towards Oprah Winfrey for making him a star.  Dr. Phil allegedly tried to steal an interview from Oprah, reports

Legal documents filed as part of a lawsuit accusing Dr. Phil of defaming two men in the case of Natalee Holloway, who went missing in Aruba in 2005, include a series of emails between Dr. Phil and his staff that seem to indicate they were trying to scoop the talk show queen.  When one of McGraw's producers learned Oprah had gotten an interview with Holloway's mother, Beth, he wrote to McGraw, "But we can out scoop Oprah & do the show w/ her first no matter what we find tomorrow we still have an interesting show -- plus only YOU can really help."  Dr. Phil seemed okay with sabotaging Oprah because he wrote back, "WE DEFINITELY NEED TO SCOOP THE DEAL SO IF WE NEED TO SHOOT THIS WEEK THEN LETS DO IT.  IF SHE [Beth] TELLS THE OPRAH PEOPLE ABOUT US THEY WILL LIKELY ATTEMPT TO DERAIL IT BY MOVING UP THEIR SCHEDULE."

Report: Dr. Phil Being Sued for Dog Attack

Photo Courtesy - WireImage/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Dr. Phil and his wife Robin McGraw are being sued for negligence after their dog allegedly attacked and injured a former best friend.

RadarOnline reports that Janet Harris filed a lawsuit Wednesday in Santa Monica, Calif., claiming she was brutally mauled by the McGraws' dog, Maggie, at their mansion without warning or provocation.  The report says Maggie is a purebred Korean Jindo.

In court papers, Harris claims the attack caused uncontrollable bleeding from deep puncture wounds, as well as cuts and abrasions.  Attorneys for Harris claim their client spent seven days on an IV and was prescribed steroids and antibiotics.

The lawsuit claims “The McGraws allegedly refused to provide compensation or assistance to Janet to aid with her illness, instead leaving her to deal with mounting health problems and financial burdens alone.”  The filing goes on to state, “While their former best friend suffered severe physical pain and mental anguish, the McGraws finalized the purchase of a new $29.5 million dollar Beverly Hills mansion.”

RadarOnline says the lawsuit seeks compensation for medical treatment costs, general damages, loss of earnings, and pain and suffering.
