Paris Hilton's Ex Reaches Plea Deal in Las Vegas Arrest

Robert Marquardt/FilmMagic(LAS VEGAS) -- Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend, Cy Waits, appears to have reached a plea deal in connection with their arrest in Las Vegas last year.

The Las Vegas Sun reports Waits' attorney told a Las Vegas judge Monday morning that the matter "has been resolved."  The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Waits, who did not appear in court, faces a felony charge of being under the influence of marijuana and misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and driving under the influence.  The 35-year-old former nightclub mogul is expected to appear at his next hearing on Wednesday.

Waits and Paris were arrested in Vegas last August after their car was stopped because, police said at the time, it smelled of marijuana.  Paris, who allegedly was caught with cocaine, later pleaded guilty to drug possession and obstructing an officer.  She was sentenced to one year of probation.

Paris and Waits reportedly split in June.

Bruno Mars to Enter Guilty Plea Wednesday

Photo Courtesy - Elektra Records(LAS VEGAS) -- Just three days after winning a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Bruno Mars is expected in a Las Vegas courtroom Wednesday to enter a guilty plea in his drug possession case.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, Mars was supposed to appear in court Monday for his arraignment on a felony cocaine possession charge, but he had his presence waived.  He's now required to appear on Wednesday, when he will formally change his plea to guilty.

The plea is part of a deal that will keep Mars out of jail -- and if he stays out of trouble for a year, the arrest will be stricken from the record.  The singer will also be on probation for a year, pay a $2,000 fine, undergo drug counseling and perform 200 hours of community service.

Mars was arrested on Sept. 19 after he was found with 2.6 grams of cocaine in the bathroom of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.  He told the arresting officer that he had made a mistake and had never before used drugs.
