Charlie Sheen Sued Over Reality Show

Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- A reality show producer is suing Charlie Sheen, claiming he and his parents, Martin and Janet, put the kibosh on a TV project on which he was working.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ed Meyer filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming the family members "conspired to 'threaten, interfere with, and restrain'" a show centering on Charlie's uncle, Joe Estevez.

The apparently estranged uncle has been trying to capitalize on Charlie's ability to generate headlines: before Sheen's break from Two and a Half Men became permanent, Joe Estevez reportedly floated an idea to producers that an uncle of Sheen's character should replace Charlie on Two and a Half Men -- namely, Joe Estevez himself.

Regarding Meyer's suit,  Sheen's attorney, Marty Singer, tells The Hollywood Reporter, "This is the most ridiculous lawsuit I have ever seen in my 30-year career.  My client doesn't even know who this person is.  I'm confident the case will be dismissed."
